The Premiere of the European Games held in Baku ended on June 19 with a historical success for TIBHAR. Vladimir Samsonov wins silver in men singles; the men team of Portugal wins their second continental title after their 2014 European Champion title. They defeated the French Team with another Tibhar player, Emmanuel Lebesson (3:1). The Dutch women team, another member of the Tibhar family, wins bronze against Germany (2:3). Hence, three medals in total went to Tibhar players and teams in Baku.

Cristian Pletea, Romania’s young talent, scored even better at the Youth European Championships of Bratislava (Slovak Republic) in July. He is the most successful participant of this tournament with a total of four medals.

During this event, he extended his contract for another four years with the German tradition company, which has been counting among the most famous and successful table tennis brands in the world for the last three decades.

TIBHAR General Manager and former Bundesliga player, Erwin Berg, who has been at the command of the company since 1978, reached great economical and sporty goals in his long career. The 75-year old was distinguised by the European table Tennis Union (ETTU) with the badge of Honour for special achievements in table tennis sport.
