Great performances for Szocs and Flore in Stockholm

The U21 competition at this year’s Swedish Open was a good patch for the TIBHAR youngsters Bernadette Szocs and Tristan Flore. Bernadette made a great second place among the women, after she got defeated on a narrow score of 3 to 1 by the Japanese Hamamoto. In view of this very strong competition, and mainly very strong Asian women players, this second place on the podium is despite losing the finals a great success.
The Frenchman Tristan Flore’s performance was delightful; he remained unbeatable in the Swedish capital city. In the second round he managed to beat one of the top favorites of the U21 competition, Joao Geraldo, listed 30 places above Flore in the world ranking list.

In the semi-finals, in the later stages of the tournament, Flore met the Hong Kong Chine Kwan Kit Ho: after a 0 to 2 backlog, Tristan managed to finally win the decisive set on a score of 15 to 13 and secured his place in the finals.
In a high-class finals against the Croatian talent Filip Zeljko he then again had the wind blowing in his direction and was able to secure the title of Stockholm. Great successes for the TIBHAR family.
