The Europe Youth Top 10 held in Prague at the beginning of October was this year again a festival of successes for the TIBHAR young players. The 16-year old Cristian Pletea (Romania) ranked under the 10 best of his category and ended this prestigious tournament at the 5th place. He met against another TIBHAR player, Tomas Polansky (Czech Republic) in the 7th game of the tournament, but had to declare defeat on a score of 2:4. For the local matador Polansky, this seventh game corresponded to his seventh success in this tournament and to his victory.
His triumph is not the first highlight of his very young career. The young right handed player born in 1998 already won the cadet tournament in 2013 and was crowned three times cadet European Champion (single, double and team).
He is expecting his next challenge by mid-October: Tomas will try to repeat his last year’s success at the Men European Championships. In 2015 in Ekaterinburg he managed to win against the Team European Champion from Austria, Stefan Fegerl and hence stood with only 17 under the best 32.
